You guys know the $20 Sandwich Trick. You tip the front desk and hope that they’ll give you an upgrade Let me tell you what happened when I tried this at the Bellagio. Probably the most iconic hotel on the strip. For the booking process, I went with Bellagio’s cheapest Run of House Room which was $91 a night If you’re wondering why the rate is so low, I’m part of their mLife membership. It’s free to sign up and I’ll leave the link below in the descriptions. I’m supposed to be excited on the flight to vegas, but there’s always that slight nervous feeling I can’t get over.
It’s a summer weekend and it’ll be busy. The checkin line was long and all the workers looked professional When I tip them... What if they offer me a choice of a better room or better view What if they don't offer me anything at all You play through the scenarios in your head but it feels like walking into a job interview, You just don’t know who you'll be talking to and how they’ll be reacting I don't know how long I waited but it felt like a long time. It was my turn next I put on a creepy smile and handed him my ID, $20 bill and my credit card. The worker, let’s call him John greeted me with a smile. John placed the $20 back on the counter. Do I need change https://casinoslots-sa.co.za/entropay? Is he giving me a chance to surrender? Maybe I have to be more clear with him There’s a note specifically saying to not change my room? No way, is it because I booked it at a special rate or was I blacklisted from making videos about tipping? By the way if you haven't seen my other videos. I’ve done the $20 tip at many other hotels so please take a look. Great! It worked! Oh, he wants me to pay My $20 bill sat on the counter. Should I take it back because I wasn’t given an upgrade or just thank him anyways? What would you do? I thanked him for trying and left my $20 I felt a sense of embarrassment and shame. Well, it happened… I’m sure I’ll feel better about it over time. It’s the cheapest room Bellagio has. The Resort Queen Room. But what’s this? Our room is labeled a “Suite”!? Did he give us an upgrade? Let's check it out According to the dictionary, a suite means more than one room, but this was definitely the room we booked. Sorry guys, it didn’t work this time. If you watch my other videos, you can see that it has worked most of the time so I’ll keep trying.
